ABOUT THE RACE:
This spring, come run/walk around the beautiful UNCW campus in support of the Willie Stargell Foundation, which supports kidney disease research and helping those fighting the disease. Baseball Hall of Fame Member Willie Stargell of the Pittsburgh Pirates, passed away in 2001 after a battle with renal failure. This race will not only honor Willie’s life, but also help raise funds in his honor. Runners also have the opportunity to fundraise towards the cause, and a chance to win a trip to Mexico or an Apple TV if they are one of the top fundraisers!
